Licenses

Licenses and notices.

Thabit keeps interface-software notices separate from Quran-content approval. A code licence never grants permission to redistribute a Quran dataset.

Bundled interface fonts

The mobile application records these interface-font notices under SIL Open Font License 1.1:

  • Onest — @expo-google-fonts/onest 0.4.1.
  • Noto Sans Arabic — @expo-google-fonts/noto-sans-arabic 0.4.3.
  • Google Sans Medium — Pinned Google Fonts v69 asset.

These fonts are used for interface controls only. They are not approved or used as Quran-text fonts. The copyright notices and complete OFL 1.1 text are committed in the source licensing register and rendered in the mobile app's Licenses and notices screen.

Quran text, metadata, translation, and audio

No Quran dataset, translation, recitation audio, word timing, or mushaf font is approved for production redistribution yet. Thabit will not list or ship an asset here until its exact source, version, terms, required attribution, integrity hashes, and review status are recorded.

Software notices

Thabit is built with open-source software recorded in its dependency lockfile and source licences. Distribution-level notice packaging is still a pre-release requirement. For a notice request or a suspected omission, contact admin@smallworld.ca.
